Is this compulsory for NYSC?

It's not federally mandated, but many state camps strongly encourage corps members to hold personal accident cover, and some request evidence of it. Given the road and posting risks of the service year, it's a sensible ₦3,000 to spend.

I don't have my call-up number yet.

What does "sum insured" mean?

It's the maximum amount paid out. For example, a ₦1,000,000 death benefit means your next-of-kin receives up to ₦1,000,000 if you die in an accident. The medical figure is the most the insurer reimburses for accident-related treatment.

How do I make a claim?

Message Wura on WhatsApp with your certificate number and what happened. For medical reimbursement, send your hospital receipts. For serious claims, your next-of-kin contacts us with the certificate and a death/disability certificate. We handle the rest.

Does it cover my phone?

Only if you add the Phone & gadget rider (+₦2,500). It covers theft and accidental damage to devices over ₦200,000 — worth it given how much a corps member relies on their phone.
